Two Pound Planet was a group from Winston-Salem, NC that played power pop in the late 1980s and early 1990s. They recorded two critically acclaimed albums- “Songs From the Hydrogen Jukebox,” which was produced by Mitch Easter, and “Whispering Delicious.”
While not commercially successful, the band did garner the positive attention of critics nation wide, as well as a significant number of pop aficionados. This page is here to celebrate a group that was somewhat cruelly overlooked initially, and listen to some great stories as well as some great music.
